The Ladies annual Prize Presentation was held at Sitwell Park Clubhouse on the evening of Friday 4th of November 2016. Following a three course meal the Lady Captain, Jane Binney, presented this years competition winners with their prizes. There was a good atmosphere in the clubhouse and best wishes were sent to all members of the Ladies section.

The Ladies Tri-Am was held on Monday 19th September 2016. The weather was rather indifferent so thank you to everyone who took part and we hope that you enjoyed your day.

The winners are as follows:

First with 79 points Linda Barker, Jean Graham and Carol Patterson from Hollins Hall and Rudding park.

Second with 76 points Pamela Hedley, Gill Smith and Jenny Knight from Matlock

Third with 75 points and on the back 9 Jane Webber, Alison Stack and Gill Deutsch from Hallamshire

Fourth with 75 points and on the back 9 Mary Laycock and Team from Lees Hall

Fifth with 75 points Lindsey Glee, Karen Elliott and Debbie Travis from Tankersley.

Terrie Plowman  won the Champion’s Trophy of the Rotherham Borough Centenary Ladies’ Golf Championship held at Phoenix Golf Club on the 15th August 2016. Terrie returned a 3 under par Nett score of 68

The competition was first played in 1971 and there have been several Sitwell ladies who have won the event over the years.

The weather was kind and a lovely day was had by those taking part. After the competition a lovely meal was enjoyed in the clubhouse. Linda Boothby was the winner of the Lady Captains prize, huge congratulations to her and everyone involved in the day.

Ladies AM-AM 8th June

Thank you to everyone that took part in this years ladies AM-AM at Sitwell Park.  The weather was kind and we hope that everyone enjoyed their day.

Following another incident last week,  may we remind all golfers that Green Staff have priority on the course at ALL times (this includes competition days). Courtesy should be given to them to enable them to move aside before shots are played.

Ladies Spring Meeting

The Ladies Spring meeting competition was held on Wednesday 4th May in dry and sunny, if a little blustery, conditions. An evening meal and prize presentation was held at the clubhouse with the prizes being presented by Lady Captain, Jane Binney.

SDLGA 2016 AGM held at Sitwell

Sitwell Park’s Lady Captain, Jane Binney, was pleased to welcome the Ladies of the Sheffield and District Ladies Golf Association for their AGM on Friday 15th April 2016. Jane gave a small welcome speech which was followed by speeches and prize presentations to the 2015 winners from the different clubs involved in the SDLGA.

President Margaret Swift and Captain Marie Watson thanked Sitwell Park for their hospitality. It was a pleasure to facilitate the AGM for the hard working Ladies of the SDLGA.

Our ladies thanked the SDLGA for all their hard work and look forward to playing in the competitions in the rest of the year.
